Ablestik is a National Starch & Chemical Company which is a member of the ICI Group. Ablestik is the world's leading supplier of adhesives and speciality materials for semiconductor packaging and microassembly applications and employs 600 people worldwide.

Part of the project specification meant that ecsec had to work within an operational building, ensuring that the company's day-to-day activities were not affected.

Unique features included the removal of carcinogenic materials, installing a clean room with air lock doors and Heppa filtration to ISO Class 6 as well as working on the first floor with no internal access.

The project was completed in three months and the value was £550,000.
