“rhubarb” food design, founded by Lucy Gemmell and based in London, has been creating fabulous food for their client’s for more than 10 years. It is a truly formidable operation and rightly sits amongst the catering industry’s elite.
As part of an ambitious expansion programme, “rhubarb” has now established their first retail outlet in Heathrow Airport’s T3. This superb example of contemporary eating and drinking was built by ecsec in the space of just 6 weeks.
Using a design supplied by “rhubarb”, the food bar is located air side in T3, which posed a number of access and security challenges, which ecsec’s 50 years of experience was able to overcome through negotiation with BAA.
Since the original fit-out that had a value of £250,000, we have relocated the restaurant within the terminal, which again had access and security challenges. With a contract value of £570,000 this took just 11 weeks.Click here to download
